IRS Phone Scams
There are a lot of scams going on out there. People are trying anyway they can to take money from the unknowing. This includes scammers calling taxpayers claiming to be from the IRS. They try to convince people that they owe a bogus tax bill. The thieves threaten the taxpayers claiming if they don’t cooperate they will be arrested. People have already fallen victim to this scam. Don’t let it happen to you. The IRS will not call asking for immediate payment, they will not ask for a credit card over the phone, they will not email you without prior notice, and they will not threaten to call the police.
